Our Editorial Lens
From the room back to the maker
Vaultbamboobazaar is an independent, informative website about handmade ceramic lighting. We begin with the shadow in the room, then follow it back to the clay wall that made it.
Our readers are curious homeowners, interior designers and craft enthusiasts who want a clearer vocabulary for what they see. Rather than ranking objects by taste, we explain the decisions behind them: how a body is formed, how an opening is cut, what a glaze reveals and what changes when the light is switched on.
Look closely enough and a lamp becomes a record of decisions, not merely a shape.
What we distinguish
Visible craft and practical suitability are different subjects. A tool mark can tell you something about making; it cannot tell you whether a ceiling fixing is appropriate. A high firing temperature can explain ceramic development; it cannot establish the operating limits of a cable or lampholder.
We make those boundaries explicit. Our articles provide general educational context, not product certification, electrical design or installation instructions. When a question belongs to a manufacturer or qualified electrician, we say so.
How to read our references
Links to museums, professional organisations, standards bodies and books provide routes for further reading. A reference does not imply endorsement, partnership or affiliation. Historical ceramic sources illuminate materials and traditions; they should not be treated as current specifications for lighting products.
We avoid unsupported claims about durability, sustainability, safety or performance. These depend on the particular product, its manufacture and its use. Descriptions such as “handmade,” “porcelain” and “natural” do not settle those questions on their own.
Corrections and suggestions
If a technical explanation needs clarification, tell us which page and passage you mean. A relevant source or a precise description of the issue helps us assess a correction. Please do not send confidential documents or ask us to approve an installation.
